Abstract
Slučajni vzorec je zajemal 99 osnovnošolcev 7., 8. in 9. razreda Osnovne šole Trzin. Zbrane podatke smo analizirali z opisnimi statistikami in jih prikazali s povprečji, frekvencami in grafičnimi predstavitvami.

Title:Fruit as an important part of a child's diet
Abstract:
The aim of the master's thesis was to explore fruit consumption among primary school children of the last triad. We were interested in fruit intake, evaluated according to the recommended daily fruit intake and the placement of fruits in the diet of primary school children. The data collection was carried out with the online survey questionnaire from April to June 2020. The random sample included 99 children from grade 7, 8 and 9 of Primary school Trzin. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and presented in the form of mean values, frequencies and graphs. Statistically significant associations between variables were tested using the Pearson Chi-Square test or the Kullback 2Ȋ test. The results of our research show that most respondents eat 3 pieces of fruits per day. Fruits are most often eaten at home, where, according to the results, it is eaten the most. Fruit intake in comparison to dietary recommendations, despite the numerous interventions, is still insufficient. Based on gender and age, there are no significant differences between respondents in fruit intake. The results also show that there is no connection between eating fresh fruits and class absences. The surveyed respondents prefer a selection of fresh fruit more than fruit products (dried fruit, juice, compote, jam, fruit-cereal bar) regardless of their gender and age.
