In the last two decades, women are due to increased employment, long working hours and stressful life at work faced with the problem of how to reconcile family and professional life. Based on the study of literature and sources, the graduation thesis presents the factors that affect the reconciliation of family and professional life and the role of the state, employers and individuals.
The purpose of the research within the thesis was to analyse the factors of reconciliation of work and private life according to gender and at the same time determine the current situation in this field. The survey method is used for the research and the results show that compared to men, women are more familiar with family measures, relating to the reconciliation of work and family life. On average, they are also more satisfied with their careers and working lives, but have approximately the same problems in reconciling family and professional life as men.
To facilitate the reconciliation of family and professional lives of women, the state must tighten the control over employers. It is necessary to ensure that gender equality is actually achieved. Men should be more actively involved in household chores. However, women can also do a lot by not taking all the burden on themselves and trust that men will do the job just as successful as they would.
