The purpose of the diploma thesis is to study the resistance of natural aggregates from various Slovenian deposits used in construction to fragmentation and wear. Selected aggregates are: crushed limestone aggregate, crushed dolomite aggregate, gravel from the river Sava and phyllite slate. In the case of phyllite slate, only a modified fragmentation resistance test is performed. After a detailed study and description of the relevant standard tests, SIST EN 1097-2:2020 (Los Angeles) and SIST EN 1097-1:2011 (micro-Deval), the implementation of our own investigations follows. Three parallel samples were examined for each aggregate source. In the following, we analysed the results of the investigations and compared them with the results of the investigations of other authors. We found, that the properties of the analysed aggregates are within the limits reported by the relevant literature for crushed dolomite, crushed limestone and river gravel. However, phyllite slate was found to be poorly resistant to fragmentation.
