Abstract
Magistrsko delo obravnava problem starodobnih avtomobilov, ki za pripravo gorljive zmesi uporabljajo uplinjače. To delo obravnava nastavljanje uplinjača znamke Weber, tipa DCOE, na starodobnem avtomobilu BMW 2002. Za namen hitrejše in natančnejše nastavitve uplinjača je v nalogi predstavljen postopek razvoja, izdelave in uporabe cenovno dostopnega orodja za optimizacijo nastavitev uplinjača. Merilni sistem med delovanjem motorja zajema vrednosti absolutnega tlaka v sesalnem kolektorju, vrtilno frekvenco motorja in delež kisika v izpušnih plinih. Z naknadno obdelavo in vizualizacijo podatkov je s pomočjo izvedenih meritev mogoče izbrati ustrezne šobe v uplinjačih na način, da se relativni razmernik zraka približa stehiometrijskemu razmerju v čim širšem obratovalnem območju motorja. S tem je omogočena bolj linearna krivulja moči, nižji izpusti onesnažil in manjša poraba goriva. Sistem je brez večjih sprememb na avtomobilu uporaben tudi na drugih starodobnih vozilih.

Title:Development of a measuring system to support the adjustment of the sports carburetors of vintage cars
Abstract:
The master thesis deals with the problem of vintage carburettor-equipped cars. The thesis focuses on Weber carburettors, DCOE type, mounted on a BMW 2002 vintage car. To enable a faster and more precise carburettor setup, the thesis presents how to develop, make and use an affordable tool that optimises the carburettor setup. While the engine is running, the measuring system picks up data of the manifold absolute pressure, the spinning frequency of the engine and the oxygen ratio in the exhaust gases. The analysis and visualisation of the data, collected during the measurements, enable a suitable jetting setup, so that the air-fuel ratio gets closer to the stoichiometric ratio in the widest work range of the engine. That enables more linear power curve, as well as decreases the pollution and the fuel consumption. The system can be used on other vintage cars without any major modifications.
