Social media is a big part of our everyday life. Social media advertising can lead to success for many companies, as it offers access to a large audience and direct communication with buyers for less cost than traditional methods of advertising. Nonetheless, social media advertising requires some effort, as an advertising strategy and well-produced content needs to be made for the best results. Belgian company QIQO sells a hot energy drink, primarily through eCommerce. The goal of the diploma thesis is to create photo and video content for QIQO’s social media advertising campaign. The ads are created based on the advertising strategy developed in the company. The theoretical part shows the history and the development of social media and the benefits of social media advertising. The experimental part describes the development and creation of the ad content, from planning to shooting and editing. The effectiveness of the finished product is analysed with a survey.
