Introduction: Because of aesthetics and good functioning of the chewing system, we must decide on the right fixed dental replacement for the patient. The dentist has many different options when choosing the material to make an individual tooth. The dentist's offer to the patient depends on various factors, such as the position of the tooth, aesthetics, the patient's wishes and financial possibilities. If the patient is missing an individual tooth and does not want to grind the adjacent teeth to install bridges, an implant can be placed in the missing tooth's place. The dental crown on the implant is considered to be one of the simplest clinical practices. There are two most common ways to insert teeth into dental implants, which are the screw retained crown and the cemented crown. The dental crown is made as a full-ceramic crown, a metal-porcelain crown and a crown in a monolithic form of zirconium oxide. Tetragonal polycrystalline stabilized zircon oxide (Y-TZP) is a high-strength ceramic used in dentistry as the core or framework for fixed prosthetic replacements and for crowns. Y-TZP core or frame can be made by milling from block using CAD / CAM technology. Purpose: In the following thesis we wanted to present zirconium oxide ceramics and the laboratory process of making a screw retained implant crown using CAD / CAM technology and to document the execution of the work. Methods: The practical part was made in the laboratory using professional literature and manufacturers' instructions. The entire manufacturing process was pictorially documented. In the theoretical part, we studied both foreign and domestic literature. We used the keywords screw coating, zircon, CAD / CAM, ceramics. We reviewed the literature in English, Croatian and Slovenian in the time frame from 2010 to 2020. Results: Our example involves the laboratory process of making a screw retained crown from zirconium oxide ceramics on a dental implant. We used computer-aided design and computer-aided fabrication. Discussion and conclusion: The use of CAD / CAM technology for dental products has many advantages over manual manufacturing. The advantages are speed, ease of use and quality. Digital data capture has advantages because they are faster and easier than conventional methods. Modeling, investment in investment and casting are becoming history. CAD / CAM technology has made it easier and more accurate to make a screw retained crown. The screw retained implant crown is a non-removable product for the patient. The main advantage of a screw retained crown is reproducibility. Another advantage is the ability to easily remove the crown from the implant or reattach the screw crown at any time without damaging it. In the event of a chip, breakage of the crown, replacement of the screw, inspection of the implant or cleaning of the tissue, the coating is easily removed
