Besedilo se osredotoča na različne kontekstualne vidike, ki vodijo v pojav pripovedi o hišah, v katerih strašijo duhovi. Raziskava se posveča ozadju vsebine tovrstnih zgodb, ki je vedno v odnosu z aktualno družbeno-zgodovinsko situacijo. Videz stavbe, smrt, družbene norme, politične spremembe – vse to so dejavniki, ki lahko vplivajo na nastanek pripovedi o duhovih. Namen magistrskega dela je splošna opredelitev značilnosti pripovedi o hišah duhov, kot tudi kontekstualizacija folklornega gradiva stavbe na Slovenskem, za katero se govori, da v njej straši. Etnografsko delo sem opravila v Rogaški Slatini, pri čemer sem raziskovala pripovedi o strašenju v Vili Demetrović.

Abstract

The paper focuses on different contextual views that lead into narratives on haunted houses. The study focuses on the background of context connected to these kinds of stories, which is always in relation to current social-historical situation. Buildings appearance, death, social norms, political changes – all of these factors can influence the emerging of ghost stories. The aim of this master thesis is to define general characteristics of ghost houses narratives and also to contextualize folklore material of a specific building in Slovenia, on which is been said that it is haunted. Therefore, I have done ethnographic fieldwork in Rogaška Slatina, where I studied narratives about hauntings in Villa Demetrović.
