This master’s thesis researches the archaeological outline of the landscape between Bloke and Ribnica valley. The study is geographically defined by the borders of today's municipalities. Taken into consideration here are Velike Lašče, Bloke, Sodražica, Ribnica and Loški Potok. The archaeological sites are periodically defined between the Prehistory and the Late Middle Ages. The work incorporates several archaeological sites with the addition of potential locations. These portray the current knowledge about archaeology of the designated space. With the help of lidar image analysis, the author further evaluates and scientifically broadens the knowledge concerning this archaeological landscape. The interpretation is supported by the Catalogue of the Archaeological Sites. It includes 84 sites and potential locations, 26 of which are newly recognised using the interpretation of lidar imagery. Additionally, path and viewshed analysis are carried out for a better understanding of the movement within the studied landscape and its connection with wider surroundings. The conclusion combines the outcome of the analysis and the catalogue and establishes a synthetic judgment of the studied space and its correlating archaeological content.
