The reconciliation of work and family poses a particular challenge for all the employees, not only for the ones who already have children but also for the ones who have an older family member or other staff who have care and support needs in the family.
The success and effective policies to reconcile work and family outcomes when it comes to employees depends on the help provided by the family itself, on the organization one works for and after all on the state, the kindergartens and schools. Organizations are largely aware of the fact that satisfied employees are the key to a successful business. As organisations increasingly recognize people as their greatest assets, they have been investing in the employee experience lately.
The purpose of the herewith research was to analyse the reconciliation of work and family life in the selected ministry and at the same time determine the current situation in this area. The survey research method was implemented in order to collect the necessary data. As a result, with the above mentioned survey we discovered that some participants were very satisfied and some were fairly satisfied as far as reconciliation of work and family life is concerned, as the share was 74%. However, there is still an increasing amount of people who experience symptoms of excessive stress at work due to incomplete tasks and extended working hours. Although all the measures taken by the organizations to better reconcile and thus favour work and family life balance contribute a lot to the well-being of their employees, the conventional fixed work schedules, incorporating choice and time variation when it comes to work arrival and departure time, has so far shown the greatest impact of all the measures introduced.
For an organization to further continue to work effectively in the areas concerning the work-family life balance, it should by no means maintain and support all the implemented measures and at the same time try to do their best to improve their own communication skills with the public and finally, adequately inform their own employees about all the measures that are to be carried out.
