Abstract
Najnovejši trend, ki ga vedno bolj opevajo politiki ter nenazadnje tudi mediji in je množično podprt z množičnimi okoljskimi demonstracijami, je raba obnovljivih virov energije ter posledično skrb za naše okolje. Obnovljivi viri energije postavljajo nov trend v družbi šele sedaj, medtem ko so med nami že vrsto let. Vrst obnovljivih virov energije ni malo, in sicer od vetrne energije ter vse do geotermalne energije. Med nevtralne vire energije pa štejemo fuzijsko in atomsko energijo, kjer je izpust CO2 nevtralen. Največkrat obnovljive vire energije uporabljamo za proizvodnjo električne energije ter jih posledično povezujemo z decentraliziranim energetskim sistemom. Navkljub trudom na pravnem področju v EU, da bi razširili decentralizacijo električne energije, se le ta počasi razvija. Slovenija je v svet decentralizacije vstopila v letu 2018, ko je zasebno podjetje javno predstavilo tržnico električne energije. Tržnica električne energije SunContract omogoča nakup električne energije neposredno od proizvajalca in ne vključuje posrednika, hkrati pa je na tej tržnici moč kupiti električno energijo, proizvedeno izključno iz obnovljivih virov energije. V ozadju skriva t. i. tehnologijo blockchain, kar pomeni, da lahko uporabniki spremljajo sklenjene posle in sledijo vsaki transakciji, preprosto povedano tehnologija blockchain preprečuje goljufije in prinaša preglednost tudi v energetiko.

Title:Slovenian Green Energy Market: A Case Study on the SunContract Platform : magistrsko delo
Abstract:
The latest trend, which is increasingly being praised by politicians and also by the media and is massively supported by mass environmental demonstrations, is the use of renewable energy sources and, consequently, the care for our environment. Renewable energy sources are only now setting a new trend in society, though they have been among us for many years. There are many types of renewable energy sources, from wind energy all the way to geothermal energy. Neutral energy sources include fusion energy and atomic energy, where CO2 emissions are neutral. Renewable energy sources are most often used for electricity production, and are consequently tied to a decentralized energy system. Despite legal efforts in the EU to expand the decentralization of electricity, it is evolving slowly. Slovenia entered the world of decentralization in 2018, when a private company introduced the electricity market to the public. The SunContract electricity market enables the purchase of electricity directly from the producer and does not include an intermediary, and it is at the same time possible to buy electricity produced exclusively from renewable energy sources in this market. Its background workings include blockchain technology, which means that users can monitor and track every transaction. Simply put, blockchain technology prevents fraud and brings transparency to the energy sector as well.
