The social security system is a very important and special area of governance. The implementation of the social security system requires special attention that every country must pay attention to. In order for the state to maintain its quality of social services at a high level, it is necessary to include the application of statutory standards in the field of social security, such as standards from the ISO 9001 group. This thesis, through theoretical and empirical presentation, will determine the basic guidelines of the mentioned standard, as well as its application in practice, based on the analysis of data from the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Croatia. Next, the thesis will provide a general picture of the applicability of this standard, as well as the shortcomings observed in the work of the two countries. On this basis, it is possible to investigate the basic reasons for the application of the standards, as well as how the social security development system itself performed before the introduction of international quality control regulations for social security management.
