Abstract
V praksi so nekoliko podrobneje obravnavane identifikacije z Mariborom, Štajersko, Slovenijo, Balkanom, Srednjo Evropo in Evropsko unijo.

Title:People from Maribor, Styrians, Slovenes and Europeans?: Local, Regional, National and European Identity of Young People in Maribor and the Maribor Area
Abstract:
The subject of this thesis is the local, regional, national and European identity of young people in Maribor and the surrounding area. More closely examined is the identification with Maribor, Styria, Slovenia, the Balkans, Central Europe and the European Union. Each section includes a short overview of the historical context of the formation and further evolution of each of the afore mentioned concepts. When possible, the same is included in regard to the identities themselves. This provides the framework for the findings from the authors fieldwork. Individual designations her subjects identify with are presented, as well as how they see and interpret them. Furthermore, their relationships to these identities are explored, along with the relationships they see among individual identities; what they identify with more and what thy identify with less, which of these identities are important to them and when.
