Abstract
Diplomsko se nanaša na varnostni standard EN 62368-1 ed.3, bolj natančno na dodatek M. Opisani so vsi preskusi, ki jih je potrebno izvesti na napravah, ki vsebujejo baterijo. Poznamo zelo velik nabor različnih baterij, tako drugačnih velikosti in kapacitivnosti kot tudi same kemične sestave, zato tudi standard ne zahteva izvedbo preskusov na vseh vrstah baterij. Baterije nam v današnjem svetu olajšajo delo, kadar moramo opraviti določeno delo na območju kjer nimamo prisotnega vira električne energije. Zato se je njihova uporaba razširila v veliko različnih naprav, npr.: prenosni računalnik, telefon, baterijska kosilnica, različne vrste svetilk, pametne tablice, GPS sledilci položaja, baterijski skiro, avtomobilizem, baterijsko orodje, itd. Standard, ki ga opisujem ne zajema vseh zgoraj naštetih naprav, ki imajo vgrajeno baterijo. V diplomskem delu se omejimo na naprave kot so prenosni zvočnik in manjša GPS naprava. Baterije morajo biti predhodno že certificirane, preden lahko začnemo z preskušanjem varnosti naprave, kajti preskusi in rezultati dodatka M zajemajo le zaščitno vezje naprave/baterije in ne varnosti baterije same po sebi. Naprave, ki so omenjene v diplomskem delu, na katerih so bili izvedeni potrebni preskusi skladnosti s standardom, so vse preskuse uspešno prestale brez poškodb zaščit naprave.

Title:Safety testing of electrical appliances with battery
Abstract:
This work is about safety standard EN 62368-1 ed, Annex M to be more exact. All necessary test procedures are described for equipment, that includes a battery. We have some examples of different kinds of battery, because not all batteries are included in this category. In todays world batteries makes our life easier when we have to do a certain job on a location without a power plug, or any source of electric energy. That is why we can find batteries in a lot of different products, for example: portable computer, smartphone, battery powered lawn mower, different kinds of lamps, smart tablets, GPS trackers, scooter, car industry, power tools, etc. Safety standard which I am talking about is not covering all aspects of electric equipment, but it does cover a large share. In this work I am taking into account a portable speaker and GPS tracker, for the practical point of view. For us to start safety testing these equipment, firstly the battery has to be certified, because this safety standard does not cover safety of battery as a unit, but covers only the protection circuit of the battery/equipment. All the equipment mentioned in this work, were properly tested with accordance of the safety standard. The safeguards remained effective after the tests, and all the equipment was recognized as safe.
