Abstract
Naraščajoča skrb za zdravje zaradi hitrega življenjskega sloga botruje večji rabi prehranskih dopolnil, predvsem rastlinskih izdelkov. Raznolikost in številčnost tovrstnih izdelkov omogoča slovenskemu potrošniku nakup različno kakovostnih prehranskih dopolnil. V magistrskem delu smo z uporabo literaturnih podatkov in internetnih baz ter z zbiranjem podatkov z ovojnine rastlinskih prehranskih dopolnil, namenjenih lajšanju različnih težav (z živčevjem, dihali, imunskim sistemom, s kostmi, z mišicami in s sečili), opazili številne pomanjkljivosti, povezane z označevanjem imen, odmerkov in dovoljene rabe.

Title:Slovenian market evaluation of herbal food supplements for nervous system, respiratory system, immune system, bones, muscles and urinary tract
Abstract:
The growing concern for people’s health due to faster lifestyle results in larger consumption of food supplements, mainly herbal products. Versatility and abundance of those products enable Slovenian customer the purchase of various quality food supplements. There are numerous deficiencies connected to product designations, doses and legitimate use which are all indicated in the thesis. The data were assembled from literature, online data bases and by collecting information on packaging of herbal food supplements which are used for treating different problems (with CNS, respiratory system, immune system, bones, muscles and urinary tract). No serious violations of warning's indications were found. The conclusions of the thesis have indicated that, in order to assure control, security and efficiency of products and greater protection of the customers, the legislation considering food supplements is still very loose.
