Abstract
V diplomskem delu sta predstavljeni izdelava in uporaba kamenih orodij. Preprostejšim orodjem in z njimi povezano enostavno olduvajsko kameno tehnologijo so sledila bolj dovršena orodja, izdelana s kompleksnejšimi tehnikami.

Title:The making and usage of stone tools
Abstract:
The thesis presents the production and the usage of stone tools. It has long been belived that stone tools appeared 2.6 million years ago in the Olduvai Gorge in Africa but recent research suggests that stone tools may have appeared much earlier, that is, 3.3 million years ago. Simpler tools and the technologies related to them were followed by more sophisticated tools made with more complex technologies. The development of human cognitive abilities is associated with the appearance and evolution of stone tools. Based on the theoretical knowledge acquired I reproduced some of the basic stone tools, such as hand-axe, point and scraper, as well as more sophisticated tools such as atypical shouldered point, borer, and retouched bladelet.
