As part of our undergraduate thesis, an interactive application was developed, which was allowed employees from the logistics department to review the status of loss of sales because of out-of-stocks phenomenon. Purpose of our web application is to primarily optimize the logistics process of purchasing and delivering stocks of products and thus reduce the losses inflicted to the company as a result. This has been achieved by identifying critical business units, where the logistics department can focus on improving the work process. In the thesis we will present business intelligence, data warehouse, BI tool Qlikview architecture, which is the main component of the analysis. We will outline the entire development of the application, from data collection, analysis and application presentation, with use cases for improving the work process.
