Javni spomeniki in skulpture v Murski Soboti med letoma 1919 in 2019

V zaključni seminarski nalogi so predstavljeni javni spomeniki in skulpture, ki so bili postavljeni v Murski Soboti med letoma 1919 in 2019. Javna plastika je ena izmed vej upodabljajoče umetnosti, ki je najbolj izpostavljena okolici in je v nenehnem stiku z javnostjo. S svojo prisotnostjo pomembno prispeva k sooblikovanju podobe mesta in njegove identitete. Področje javnega kiparstva v Murski Soboti doslej še ni bilo celovito obravnavano, zato je osrednji namen naloge narediti pregleden, kronološko urejen popis javne plastike v mestu, ki vsebuje osnovne podatke plastik, njihovo oblikovno in vsebinsko analizo ter predstavitev okoliščin njihovega nastanka. Na koncu sledi umestitev del v širši družbeni, politični, kulturni in umetnostni kontekst.

• Title: Public monuments and sculptures in Murska Sobota between 1919 and 2019

Abstract

The final seminar paper presents public monuments and sculptures erected between 1919 and 2019 in Murska Sobota. Public sculpture is branch of the visual arts that is most exposed to the surrounding public space and is in constant connection with the general public. Its presence also significantly contributes to visual image of the city and its identitiy. The field of public sculpture in Murska Sobota has not yet been comprehensively researched. Therefore, the main purpose of the paper is to create chronologically ordered list of public sculptures that includes basic data of sculptures, their formal and content analysis and presentation of the circumstances under which sculptures were build. Finally, sculptures are placed in a broader social, political, cultural and artistic context.
