Abstract
Veliki rjavi rilčkar (Hylobius abietis) je pomembna vrsta v iglastih gozdovih v obnovi. Namen diplomske naloge je bil potrditi prisotnost ter ugotoviti številčnost te vrste v Gozdnogospodarski enoti Vrbovec (OE ZGS Kočevje), testirati učinkovitost privabljanja treh različnih drevesnih vrst, in sicer rdečega bora (Pinus sylvestris), navadne smreke (Picea abies) in navadne jelke (Abies alba), v kombinaciji z etanolom ter analizirati stranski ulov s poudarkom na poddružini podlubnikov (Curculionidae: Scolytinae). Spremljanje je potekalo 8 tednov, in sicer od 3. 4. 2020 do 29. 5. 2020 na štirih različnih lokacijah, kjer je bila malo pred začetkom raziskave izvedena sanitarna sečnja smreke (Picea abies). Uporabili smo pasti, ki smo jih izdelali sami. Skupaj je bilo ujetih 3729 osebkov hroščev (Coleoptera). Največji delež v ulovu (46,8 %) so predstavljali hrošči iz družine rilčkarjev (Curculionidae). Ulovljenih je bilo 1022 osebkov velikega rjavega rilčkarja (Hylobius abietis). Največ osebkov (415) se je ulovilo v pasti z vejico rdečega bora, sledile so pasti, opremljene z vejicami navadne jelke (387), najmanj osebkov Hylobius abietis (220) pa se je ujelo v pasti z vejicami navadne smreke. Statistično značilnih razlik v ulovu med pastmi z vejicami rdečega bora in navadne jelke sicer ni bilo, je pa bil ulov v te pasti statistično značilno večji od ulova v pasti, ki so bile opremljene z vejicami navadne smreke. Podlubniki so bili v ulovu zastopani 702 osebki. Najbolj številčni so bili mali smrekov ličar (Hylurgus palliatus), kosmati smrekov lubadar (Dryocoetes autographus) in podlubniki iz rodu Hylastes. Ujeli smo tudi dve tujerodni vrsti, in sicer Gnathotrichus materiarius in Xylosandrus germanus.

Title:Monitoring of the large pine weevil, Hylobius abietis (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), in a forest management unit Vrbovec
Abstract:
The large pine weevil (Hylobius abietis) is an important pest of coniferous reforestation forests. The purpose of the diploma thesis was to confirm the presence and determine the abundance of this species in the Forest management unit Vrbovec (OE ZGS Kočevje), to test the effectiveness of attracting of three different tree species, namely red pine (Pinus sylvestris), spruce (Picea abies) and fir (Abies alba), in combination with ethanol, and to analyze by-catches with emphasis on the bark beetles (Curculionidae: Scolytinae). Monitoring took place over 8 weeks, from 3 April 2020 to 29 May 2020, at four different locations where sanitary felling of spruce (Picea abies) was carried out shortly before the start of the study. We used traps we made ourselves. A total of 3729 specimens of beetles (Coleoptera) were caught. The largest share in the catch (46.8%) was represented by beetles from the family Curculionidae. 1022 specimens of the large pine weevil (Hylobius abietis) were caught. Most specimens (415) were caught in a traps with a twigs of red pine, followed by traps equipped with spruce twigs (387), and the least specimens of Hylobius abietis (220) were caught in a traps with spruce twigs. There were no statistically significant differences in catches between traps with red pine twigs and fir, but the catch in these traps was statistically significantly higher than the catch in traps equipped with spruce twigs. Bark beetles were represented in the catch by 702 individuals. The most numerous were Hylurgus palliatus, Dryocoetes autographus and beetles from the genus Hylastes. We also caught two non-native species, namely Gnathotrichus materiarius and Xylosandrus germanus
