The success of any military operation is based on logistics, which must provide the necessary support to the forces at the right time, on the right scale and in accordance with the expected standards. The changed geostrategic position required a radical reorganization also in the organization of the armed forces, especially the reorganization touched the logistics, which faces the increasingly demanding task of supporting units on missions, which also requires higher financial costs. The diploma thesis in the introduction focuses on the presentation of the concept of logistical support of the Italian Armed Forces, more precisely how the Italian Armed Forces have been supplied since the beginning of participation in international operations and how this process has taken place until today. Then is shown the organizational structure of the Italian Armed Forces, which is divided into four parts: land, navy, air part and carabinieri. The central part of the diploma thesis is based on the description of three selected operations with an emphasis on the logistical support of the Italian Armed Forces. This is followed by an overview of the system of financing international operations, which is specific in Italy and differs from most countries. In conclusion, the set hypotheses are evaluated.
