Vloga dokumenta pri nastajanju umetniškega dela

V diplomski nalogi razmišljam o umetniški dokumentaciji kot o obliki umetniškega delovanja. O tem govori teoretik Boris Groys, ki meni, da se umetniških posegov v vsakdanje ţivljenje ne da predstaviti drugače kakor z umetniškim dokumentiranjem. Umetniška dokumentacija se ţeli referirati na ţivljenje kot tako, na čisto aktivnost. Ravno zato si za svoje dokumentarno delovanje izberem rastlinski svet, ki naseljuje prostore tretje krajine. Koncept tretje krajine je razvil francoski hortikulturist Gilles Clément. Gre za prostore, izključene iz človeške aktivnosti, ki jih je naselila narava. Oba vidika ţivljenja, umetniškega in rastlinskega, pa povezuje filozofinja Bojana Kunst, ki razmišlja o njunih medsebojnih navezavah in razlikah. Proces dokumentiranja na koncu predstavim v obliki herbarija, ki ga razumem kot arhiv ţivljenja izbrane tretje krajine.

• Title: The role of documentation in the process of formation of an artwork

Abstract

This thesis presents my thoughts on the subject of artistic documentation as a form of artistic action. Boris Groys theorizes that artistic intervention into everday life cannot be presented in anyway but through artistic documention itself. Artistic documentation refers to life itself, to pure activity. That is why I take plant life that inhabits the third landscape as a filed of my interest. The concept of the third landscape was developed by the french horticulturist Gilles Clément. It is a place where human action is no longer present and nature took over. The intrigate relationships of both of these forms of life, that of life and that of art, are present in the thought of philospher Bojana Kunst. My process of documenting is lastly presented in a form of a herbarium, which I percieve to be an archive of the life that inhabits the one specific third landscape I have chosen to document.
