Thesis tries to sheds light on the events related to partisan facilities in Kočevski Rog and place them in historical and geographical context of Kočevski Rog. Facilities have played an important role in the National liberation struggle and consequently in Slovenian history. They provided medical care, both basic and more advance surgical procedures and were home to men and women who led the national liberation struggle, among other things, some children were born here during the Second World War. During the war, the partisan facilities in Kočevski Rog also printed and edited newspapers Ljudska Pravica, Naša vojska, Slovenski poročevalec, leaflets, posters, forms and tables. As well as monitoring foreign radio stations and maintaining radio links with allies. The facilities housed a scientific institute, partisan workshops and a power plant. The thesis also provides an overview of the current condition of facilities, their maintenance, management and openness to the public. Only Baza 20 and hospitals Jelendol and Zgornji Hrastnik have survived to this day, they together represent 44 buildings.
