This thesis describes the development process for a linear image sensor test circuit board. Given are the design requirements for the test board, which are then used to derive the design choices. The description of the final circuit architecture is laid out. Then, the programming section describes the microcontroller configuration and program structure. Finally, an overview of the sensor testing and test verification principles is provided.
The result of this development is a test board that is used as a part of a bigger test system for automated testing of linear image sensors. It will be used for the production testing of sensors produced by Renishaw Tehnični Inženiring d.o.o.
