Additive technologies represent a wide range of technologies that are increasingly gaining ground in the industry. They are used for both prototyping and manufacturing of finished products. One of the limitations for increasing the use of these technologies in industry is primarily knowing the capabilities of these technologies. The final thesis presents the main technologies in the field of 3D printing of metals and ceramics. The procedures of selective laser sintering, selective laser melting, electron beam melting, laser deposition welding, electron beam deposition welding, wire and arc additive manufacturing, ultrasonic consolidation, cold spraying and binder jet are presented. The main characteristics are given for each procedure. A comparison is made between individual procedures.
