Currently on the market there is no ski binding that is primarily focused on ski descent and also enables ski touring. Therefore skiers are forced to accept compromise choosing ski bindings when they approach terrains by hiking. With reverse engineering procedure we designed adapter for replacement of a ski binding which allows easy replacement of original Tyrolia attack demo binding with ski touring setup. Manufacturing of adapter for replacement of ski binding was made by cutting processes like abrasive water yet, wire electrical discharge machinig, drilling, turning and milling. We manufactured adapter with function which can be easily compared with the original product. It allows skiers to descent with a quality binding and also hike but the down side is that the sistem is approximately 300 grams heavier.
