In my diploma thesis I will deal with the exploration of light, shadow, and their connections, which have affected the space that appears. Firstly, I will briefly talk about major milestones in the field of light and illumination. How, where and why, everything has started at all. I will also talk about types of light types over time and the sources of light as such.
I have started my researching practically, I took paces of glass and made various tests and experiments on it. Since the ambient light, in combination with glass in other materials, is looking for a lot of possibilities for exploring shadow playing, in this field I am especially interested in solving, blasting into sandblasting and their influence on the light - shadow relationship.
