Abstract

Title:A SUPPLEMENT FOR EVERYDAY CHORES OF PATIENT'S WITH PARKINSON'S AND ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE
Abstract:
In my bachelor's thesis I will try to design a product that will improve the quality of life for patients with Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease. I will be concentrating on motion and movement, which makes their everyday activities difficult. In the initial discover phase, I will analyze the existing products and research both diseases. After observing my grandmother Maria, who has Parkinson’s disease, I will choose the problem with the most potential for improvement or opportunity for a new product. Referring to my observations, I will define the design brief. I will start designing by exploring many different ideas for that specific issue, based on which I will design and later improve the product. I will describe the finished product in detail.
