Abstract
Trigonometrični funkciji sinus in kosinus običajno vpeljemo geometrijsko s pomočjo razmerja stranic v pravokotnem trikotniku ali pa s pomočjo koordinat točk na enotski krožnici. V diplomskem delu bomo pokazali, kako lahko trigonometrične funkcije vpeljemo in prikažemo njihove lastnosti s pomočjo potenčnih vrst.

Title:Trigonometric functions and power series
Abstract:
Trigonometric functions are most often introduced geometrically by either using ratios of lengths of sides in right angle triangles or using coordinates of points on the unit circle. In this diploma thesis we plan to show how trigonometric functions can be introduced and their properties shown by using power series.
