Abstract
Na učinkovitost in ločljivost pri ionski kromatografiji odločilno vpliva izbira ustrezne kromatografske kolone. Te se med seboj razlikujejo po svojih dimenzijah, kapaciteti, strukturi stacionarne faze, po funkcionalnih skupinah, ki so ionski izmenjevalci, največjem dovoljenem pretoku mobilne faze in samemu namenu uporabe za katero so proizvajalci izdelali kromatografsko kolono. Za proizvode, ki se uporabljajo pri ionski kromatografiji je na trgu več različnih proizvajalcev in zato je posledično na trgu še mnogo več različnih komercialno dostopnih kromatografskih kolon. Diplomska naloga vsebuje pregled literature različnih raziskovalnih člankov in analizo kromatografskih kolon, ki so jih pri delu uporabili. Iz specifikacij in testnih kromatogramov, ki jih podajajo proizvajalci kromatografskih kolon sem poskušal narediti čim boljšo primerjalno analizo kromatografskih kolon, ki se uporabljajo za določevanje citrata ter kalcija in magnezija v kompleksnih matricah.

Title:Possibilities for determination of citrate and calcium and magnesium in a complex matrix by ion chromatography
Abstract:
Efficiency and resolution of ion chromatography is greatly influenced by the choice of the proper chromatographic column. These differ in their dimensions, capacity, structure of the stationary phase, ion exchange groups, maximal allowed mobile phase flow and for which purpose the manufacturer made them. There are many different manufacturers which make parts for ion chromatography and therefore there is a lot of different commercially available chromatographic columns one can choose from. In my undergraduate thesis I made a literature review of research articles and the analysis of different chromatographic columns which were used by their research work. From specifications and test chromatograms which are given by the chromatography column manufacturers I tried to make a comparative analysis of columns suitable for determining citrate and calcium and magnesium in complex matrixes.
