Abstract

Title:Assembly Automation of the Measurement System for Electricity Meter
Abstract:
In this thesis, the main challenge was to design an automated system for the assembly of residential smart electricity meters. In addition to the analysis of the current state and the identification of problematic issues, a DFA analysis of the current assembly process was carried out. Based on this and considering the DFA and DFAA recommendations, improvements were suggested for the components and the process itself. Several concepts for the process of assembly were developed in order to enable assembly automation. Following set criteria, an optimal concept was chosen and developed in detail including the basic elements of the assembly system, the design of the ancillary equipment and the determination of some key work parameters. Regarding the assembly time, we evaluated the changes using a simulation tool. In the end, a short economic analysis was done for the suggested improvements that enable better quality of assembly, shorten assembly time and, with the integration of robots, reduce the costs of the production process.
