Abstract
S pomočjo rezultatov analize prevodnosti, CHN analize, IR spektroskopije, termogravimetrične analize in UV-Vis spektroskopije sem ugotovil sestavo štirih neznanih vzorcev – obeh oborin ter monokristalov. Dobljene spojine so [Mo(NCO)3py3], (pyH)[Mo(NCO)4py2], mer-[Mo(NCO)3py3]·2py in trans-(py2H)[Mo(NCO)4py2]

Title:Characterization of samples formed by the reaction of (NH4)2[MoCl5(H2O)] and KOCN in pyridine
Abstract:
Using the results of conductivity analysis, CHN elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and UV-Vis spectroscopy, I determined the composition of four unknown samples - both precipitates and single-crystals. The synthesis was performed between diammonium aquapentachloromolybdenate(III) and potassium cyanate in pyridine. The precipitate was separated into two different products by dissolving the crude product in water at 60°C. The water-insoluble component was first filtered off, the second component was precipitated from water by the addition of pyridinium chloride and filtered again. These two products were recrystallized from pyridine. The analysis which was performed for all four compounds was Conductivity analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray structural analysis, elemental CHN analysis, and UV-Vis electron spectroscopy. The compounds obtained are [Mo(NCO)3py3], (pyH)[Mo(NCO)4py2] mer-[Mo(NCO)3py3]·2py and trans-(py2H)[Mo(NCO)4py2]
