The protection of permanent crops in the vineyard is mistly chemical nowadays. In the field of protection, we want to reduce the use and impact of plant protection products (PPPs) on the enviroment. The PPPs pushe the pump with its pressure through the nozzle. As the pressure on the nozzle changes, the flow and size of the droplets changes. The diploma thesis additionally used pulse width modulation of the solenioid valve to change the flow. Measurig slips measured the number and size distribution od PPPs droplets at different locations in canopy. In doing so, we compared performance at nozzle with higher and lower flow and nozzle with higher flow. With pulse-width modulation. As a control, we used the continuous operation of the solenoid valve. This was used to determine if operating at different operating parameters has a statistically significant effect on the number and histogram of PPPs droplet size.
