Abstract
V zaključni nalogi smo raziskovali napetostno stanje tankostenskega cilindričnega valja, imenovan kot plašč ohišja, ki je izpostavljen osni obremenitvi. Plašč ohišja je sestavni del okroglega stolpnega prezračevalnika. Raziskave smo izvedli z namenom zmanjševanja mase stolpnemu prezračevalniku. Maso plašča ohišja smo uspešno zmanjšali za 33%, z dodajanjem ojačitvenih reber pa vplivali na večanje togostnih lastnosti.

Title:Evaluation and geometrical optimisation of sheet metal air towers
Abstract:
In this final thesis, we investigated the strenght of a thin-walled cylinder shell, called as a standpipe, exposed to an axial load. The standpipe is an integral part of the round air towers. The research was carried out with the aim of reducing the mass of the air towers. The weight of the standpipe was successfully reduced by 33 %, and by adding reinforced ribs, we increased the stiffness characteristics.
