Abstract

Title:Accuracy analysis of marginal fit of the framework, fabricated by different technologies : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: According to the literature there are many explanations of what accuracy and quality is. Based on scientific research it can be argued that an accurate product is in most cases also of a good quality. In short, quality is the achievement of all the features of a product or service that the customer expects. As all technologies strive for clinically acceptable products, they are constantly improving and competing against each other. In the diploma work we had researched and analysed the accuracy of the marginal fit and other parameters of the framework performed by different technologies. Purpose: The purpose of the diploma work is to theoretically and visually present different technologies for the manufacture of framework and to present methods and ways of analysing the accuracy of the mathematically defined CAD model that we have designed. Methods: A descriptive method was used in theoretical part of the diploma work. The practical part is based on the analysis of marginal fit of framework performed by different technologies. Results: The obtained results of individual sets of measurements were evaluated with negative points. Thus, based on the results obtained, we can say that the technology which received the least negative points was milling followed by SLM and SLA. Discussion and conclusion: Accuracy analysis of marginal fit of framework fabricated by different technologies compared to SLA, SLM and milling methods showed that the most accurate manufacturing is milling. The latter technology is very developed in the field of mechanical engineering and the other two are younger.
