The diploma thesis is a historical demographic study based on the analysis of data from the registers of the parish of Hoče, that deals with the issue of mortality in the settlement of Dogoše between the years of 1875 and 1915. The main goal of the work is to investigate at what age most of the population died at the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century, what was the mortality rate of a small peasant village compared to the wider geographical framework. The task is to determine the death rate among children, who accounted for the largest share of deaths, and to explain how the death of the youngest affected the society.
