Abstract

Title:The effect of additive on the morphological, mechanical and rheological properties of recycled polypropylene
Abstract:
The aim of the thesis was to determine the mechanical, rheological and morphological changes, which are the result of extensive recycling of isotactic polypropylene. Moreover, the study was extended to the effect of commercially available additive on the above mentioned properties. The master thesis was performed experimentally, where the isotactic polypropylene was recycled twenty times with and without the additive. Samples were analysed at different recycling stages with polarized optical microscopy, rheometer and nanoindenter. In the final chapter, the results were commented and possible further improvements are given.
