Abstract
Podjetje se je zaradi spremenljivega povpraševanja na trgu odločilo za proizvajanje manjših serij in prenehanje prekomerne izdelave na zalogo. Menjava orodja je s tem bolj frekventna, na strojih pa so se zaradi zamudne menjave orodja začela pojavljati ozka grla. V okviru zaključne naloge smo se doseganja hitrejše menjave orodja lotili skladno z načeli vitkosti. Z uporabo metod SMED in 5S smo uredili delovno mesto stroja, razbremenili operaterja in uspešno skrajšali čas menjave orodja za 54,5 %, s čimer smo znižali stroške proizvodnje in povečali razpoložljivost stroja in produktivnost podjetja.

Title:Reducing changeover times on a mechanical tandem press
Abstract:
Manufacturing company decided to produce smaller series of products and reduce manufacturing inventory. This resulted in bottlenecks due to more frequent and time consumnig changeovers. Throughout this final theses we followed lean principles to achieve the reduction of machine setup time. By implementig SMED and 5S methods into work area of the machine we managed to reduce worker's strain and reduce changeover time by 54,5 % which led to decrease in production cost and increase in machine avaliability and business productivity.
