Abstract
Uvod: Farmakovigilanca je sistem povezan z zbiranjem, odkrivanjem, ocenjevanjem, razumevanjem in preprečevanjem neželenih učinkov in drugih težav povezanih z zdravili. Cilj je izboljšati oskrbo in varnost pacientov ob uporabi kontrastnega sredstva ali drugih zdravil. Kontrastna sredstva se v radiologiji uporabljajo, ker se lahko izboljša vidljivost nekaterih struktur na sliki. Vsako kontrastno sredstvo ali zdravilo ima poleg želenega učinka tudi neželeni učinek, zato je potrebno poznati ukrepe prve pomoči in ob pojavu le-teh hitro in pravilno ukrepati. Namen: Namen dela je teoretični pregled literature na temo farmakovigilance in njenih področji ter ugotoviti poznavanje farmakovigilance med študenti tretjega letnika radiološke tehnologije in radiološkimi inženirji. Zanima nas tudi poznavanje področja neželenih učinkov, katere se po njihovem mnenju poroča in kako bi ukrepali ob pojavu le-teh. Metode dela: Uporabljen je bil deskriptivni pristop s pregledom literature in kvantitativna metoda dela, kjer smo, kot merski instrument uporabili spletni anketni vprašalnik, katerega smo dali v izpolnitev študentom radiološke tehnologije tretjega letnika in zaposlenim radiološkim inženirjem. Anketa zajema štiri sklope, ki se navezujejo na področje farmakovigilance, na področje neželenih učinkov in nudenje ukrepov prve pomoči ob pojavu neželene reakcije, ter zadnji sklop, ki zajema demografski vprašanji. Rezultati: Anketni vprašalnik je izpolnilo 27 študentov in 14 inženirjev radiološke tehnologije. Rezultati so pokazali, da je poznavanje namena farmakovigilance med anketiranci primerljiv, saj večina njih pozna njen namen. Opazimo, da čeprav izraz poznajo, ga ne povezujejo s prej navedenimi aktivnostmi farmakovigilance. Kljub temu, da smo pri analizi opazili, da veliko anketiranih ne pozna obrazca za poročanje neželenih učinkov, je bilo iz odgovorov razvidno, da vodijo evidenco neželenih učinkov na oddelku, iz česar lahko sklepamo, da imajo druge načine poročanja. Podan je bil tudi primer anafilaktične reakcije. Ob pregledu rezultatov smo opazili razlike med odgovori in smernicami, po katerih smo se ravnali. Razprava in zaključek: Glede na pridobljene rezultate, smo ugotovili, da je poznavanje farmakovigilance in njenih področji ter neželenih učinkov in ukrepanje ob pojavu le-teh, med študenti in radiološkimi inženirji pri večini vprašanj po naših pričakovanjih, saj je bilo opaziti podobnosti ob primerjavi odgovorov med skupinama. Po analizi rezultatov smo ugotovili kako pomembno je izobraževanje in poznavanje področja farmakovigilance, saj lahko s tem pripomoremo k izboljšanju varnosti pacientov v zvezi z uporabo kontrastnega sredstva ali drugega zdravila.

Title:Pharmacovigilance of contrast agents : diploma work
Abstract:
Introduction: Pharmacovigilance is a system associated with the collection, detection, evaluation, understanding and prevention of adverse reactions and other drug-related problems. The goal is to improve patient care and safety when using a contrast agent or other medication. Contrast agents are used in radiology because they can improve visibility of certain structures in the image. In addition to the desired effect, any contrast agent or medicine also has a side effect, so it is necessary to know the first aid measures and to act quickly and correctly when they occur. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is a theoretical review of literature in the field of pharmacovigilance, and to determine the knowledge about pharmacovigilance among third-year students of radiological technology and radiological engineers. We are interested in their knowledge about side effects, their reporting and actions that are or should be taken, when the side effects occur. Methods of work: We used a descriptive approach with literature review and a quantitative method of work, where we used an online survey questionnaire as a measuring instrument. The questionnaire was given to third-year radiology technology students and employed radiology engineers. The survey covers four strands related to the fields of pharmacovigilance, adverse reactions and the provision of first aid measures in the event of an adverse reaction. The last set covers demographic information. Results: The survey questionnaire was completed by 27 students and 14 radiological technology engineers. The results showed that respondents are familiar with the term pharmacovigilance, but do not associate it with its activities. It is also evident that they are aware of the importance of reporting for patient safety and health, but are less familiar with the use of the adverse reaction reporting form. An example of an anaphylactic reaction was also given, where, when reviewing the results, we noticed differences between the responses and the guidelines we followed. Discussion and conclusion: Based on the results of our research, we determine the appropriate knowledge of pharmacovigilance and its areas among the respondents. They do not feel competent enough to take independent action in the event of an adverse reaction and are less familiar with current guidelines. When comparing groups of respondents, we did not notice any major differences in the answers. We want to emphasize the importance of education and knowledge of the field of pharmacovigilance, as this helps to improve patient safety in relation to the use of a contrast agent or other drug.
