Abstract
Ena od številnih posledic hitre globalizacije sveta je potreba po ažurnem pošiljanju produktov na daljše razdalje. Pri zagotavljanju njihovega varnega transporta glavno vlogo igra embalaža. Izbira ustreznega materiala je ključnega pomena za zagotavljanje zadovoljivega blaženja med distribucijo. V nalogi smo predstavili nekatere izmed najpogosteje uporabljenih embalažnih materialov, namen naloge je pridobiti njihove blažilne krivulje ter primerjati le-te. Podatke smo pridobili eksperimentalno, s pomočjo programa LabView, jih obdelali v Pyhton-u ter prikazali v Excel-u. Prikazani podatki so potrdili dobre blažilne lastnosti ekspandiranega polistirena. Pokazali smo tudi, da se lahko tem lastnostim približamo tudi ob uporabi papirnate embalaže, v kolikor je ta ustrezno oblikovana.

Title:Determination of cushion curves of packaing materials
Abstract:
One of the many consequences of the rapid globalization of the world is the need for up-to-date long-distance product shipments. Packaging plays a major role in ensuring their safe transport and the choice of the appropriate material is crucial to ensure satisfactory cushioning during transportation. In this paper, we present some of the most used packaging materials, with the aim of obtaining their cushion curves and comparing them. The data were obtained experimentally, with the help of LabView, processed in Pyhton and analyzed in Excel. The analysis confirmed the good cushioning properties of expanded polystyrene. We have also shown that we can achieve these properties even when using paper packaging if it is properly designed.
