Abstract
V času hitrega tehnološkega napredka pridobiva informacijska tehnologija pomembno vlogo v družbi, zato se povečujejo potrebe po strokovnih kadrih na področju IT-ja. Vedno več podjetij poskuša pridobivati tovrsten kader, medtem ko ponudba ne sledi povpraševanju. Pojavlja se dolgoročno pomanjkanje IT-strokovnjakov na trgu delovne sile, zaradi česar podjetja s težavo pridobivajo primerne nove kadre. Cilj magistrskega dela je preučiti značilnosti na področju pridobivanja IT-strokovnjakov v podjetjih. V teoretičnem delu magistrske naloge s pomočjo sekundarne analize znanstvenih člankov preučimo temeljne zakonitosti na področju pridobivanja kadrov, informacijske tehnologije, visokotehnoloških podjetij in trendov na področju pridobivanja IT-strokovnjakov. V empiričnem delu magistrske naloge predstavimo raziskavo, v kateri intervjuvamo predstavnike 11 osrednjeslovenskih IT-podjetij, s čimer teorijo nadgradimo z aktualnimi podatki iz prakse. Raziskujemo, kako podjetja pridobivajo IT-strokovnjake in s kakšnimi težavami se pri tem soočajo. Ugotovimo, da najpogosteje sočasno uporabljajo kombinacijo različnih metod. Pri sodelujočih podjetjih analiziramo večstopenjski potek selekcijskih postopkov in ugotovimo, da je precej kompleksen. Opredelimo ključne priložnosti za izboljšavo postopkov pridobivanja IT-strokovnjakov v podjetjih.

Title:Recruitment of Professional Staff in Central Slovenian IT Companies
Abstract:
In the period of rapid technological progress information technology is gaining an important role in society, therefore, the demand for IT professionals is increasing. A growing number of companies is trying to recruit this type of professionals, while supply does not keep up with demand. This creates a long-term shortage of IT professionals in the labor market, which makes it difficult for companies to recruit new staff. The aim of this master's thesis is to study corporate recruitment practices of IT professionals. In the theoretical part of the master's thesis, through secondary analysis of scientific articles, we examine the basics in the field of recruitment, information technology, high-tech companies and trends in the field of corporate IT recruitment. In the empirical part of the master's thesis we present a research study in which we interview representatives of 11 IT companies from Central Slovenia statistical region, thus upgrading the theory with latest empirical data. We research how companies recruit IT professionals and what problems they face in doing so. We find out that they often use a combination of different methods at the same time to maximize recruitment efficiency. We analyze companies’ existing multi-stage selection processes for IT professionals and find out that they are very complex. We also identify key opportunities to improve the recruitment processes of IT professionals at participating companies.
