We studied the possible solutions of clamping the workpieces on the CNC woodworking machines. In our case the workpieces are the closet doors. Since the doors come in different dimensions it is hard to ensure an easy, effective and universal clamping on to the CNC machine. Let us first familiarize with the charateristics of the workpiece itself and after that with the clamping forces and negative pressure calculations that are necessary for the production of clamping device. As the first possible solution I list a template with electric vacuum switch which we would build in the clamping block. Such template enables, through control panel, the activation and deactivation of the suction fields that we require for a certain door dimension. As a second possible solution the clamping template with a spring is presented and would work in a similar way as the previously mentioned block. The only difference is that the activating and deactivating of the suction box uses mechanical shutter, which operates by means of spring. The blocks of both of the aforementioned devices would be clamped on a uniform template and arrange them so they would cover the fields of certain door dimensions. As a third possible solution is the clamping device with a tenon. For moving to the desired door dimension the device would use the mortises in the CNC's workbench itself. This way we would establish an optional suction field and allow the setting of all possible door dimensions. The fourth solution is movable template with a frame made out of aluminium profiles. The profiles allow the block to move in y direction, whilst the moving in x direction is enabled by median batten which movies by means of threaded rods. This way enable the flexibility of the clamping template.
