We constructed and designed flat pack children furniture for sleeping with an attractive and modern design. The furniture is designed in such a way that manufacturing, packaging and storage is very simple. When disassembled the low volume of the packaging allows for easy transportation and storage, which is convenient for the manufacturer as well as the customer. While developing this line of children furniture we were aiming towards simplified assembly % the end user does not need any additional material, tools or special skills. The furniture is designed and constructed according to standard for cradles or standard for children cots and is, therefore, safe to use. The thesis includes details about development and construction of the furniture, as well as all the performed tests for dimension, shape, stability, strength and sustainability of both, the cradle and children cot. We also searched the domestic and foreign market for offerings of cradles and children cots and did not find any flat packed children furniture with the same properties. Using a questionnaire we wanted to find out whether design, simple assembly and multifunction are important for potential costumers when buying children furniture. The results show that most of the people find the design attractive, and that furniture which grows with your child, and is easily assembled, presents an advantage at sales.
