The first part of the degree paper lists theoretical bases of language stylistics with the emphasis on journalistic texts and column characteristics, while in the research part, linguo-stylistic analysis is used to discover language features of 10 chosen columns of a director and writer Ivana Djilas. Throughout the degree paper, theoretical assumptions of classifying the texts as columns are confirmed. The author’s style expression is rich in stylistically marked lexis, the use of collocations and rhetorical figures, some peculiarities of word order, diversity in the use of punctuation, various types of clauses and length of sentences, variation of the narrator and verb tenses, and some features of a spoken language. The results of analysis show that Ivana Djilas’ language style is distinguished on lexical, syntax and text level, however, the inability of moulding on the style level and attractive topics are most likely the reasons for a great readership of her columns.
