Abstract
V diplomski nalogi se ukvarjam s preučevanjem samoreprezentacije na družbenih omrežjih, kjer poskušam ugotoviti, na kakšen način se na družbenem omrežju Instagram samoreprezentirajo osebni fitnes trenerji v Sloveniji. Študije namreč ugotavljajo, da se večina športnikov predstavlja tako, da so videti vitki, mišičasti ter imajo malo telesne maščobe, kar pomeni, da so predstavljeni v skladu s sociokulturnimi ideali privlačnosti. Pri tem me zanimajo tudi morebitne razlike med moškimi in ženskami. Teoretski del naloge služi kot premislek o razlikah med samoreprezentacijo po Goffmanu in sodobno digitalno samoreprezentacijo. Digitalno okolje namreč omogoča, da se prek fotografij, tekstov ali drugih objav predstavljamo svojim sledilcem na njim zanimiv in privlačen način. Tudi osebni fitnes trenerji za predstavitev samih sebe, svojega izgleda in poklica, pogosto uporabljajo družbena omrežja. V empiričnem delu naloge zato pozornost usmerjam k analizi izbranih Instagram profilov osebnih trenerjev in njihovih objav pri čemer s pomočjo analize vsebine ugotavljam, na kakšne načine se ženski in moški osebni trenerji samoreprezetirajo na družbenem omrežju Instagram.

Title:Self-representation on social media: an analisys of personal trainers' Instagram profiles
Abstract:
In this diploma thesis, I studied how Slovene personal fitness trainers self-represent themselves on social network site, Instagram. Studies show that most sportsman represent themselves in the way in which they look skinny, muscular and have no body fat. I am especially interested in ways of self-representation and possible gender differences. Theoretical part of the thesis helps us understand the connection between Goffmans self-representation and digital self-representaion, as we know it today. Digital environments enable their users to represent themselves by posting photographs, text or other kind of posts for their followers to see. Personal trainers represent a special category, as they self-represent themselves, their look and occupation by using social network sites. In empirical part of this thesis, I used content analysis method to analise how personal trainers (men and women) represent themselves on social network site Instagram.
