Abstract
Digitalni refraktometer Refracto 30GS proizvajalca Mettler Toledo se uporablja za merjenje vsebnosti sladkorja v tekočinah. V diplomski nalogi smo izračunali njegovo standardno merilno negotovost tipa A in tipa B ter na koncu podali razširjeno merilno negotovost. Ugotovili smo, da merjenje vsebnosti sladkorja v doma pripravljenih napitkih ni točno, ker so sestavljeni iz več različnih sestavin. Refraktometer točno in natančno meri napitke z vodno osnovo in raztopljenim sladkorjem. Če so v napitku raztopljena še druga hranila, potem refraktometer pokaže delež vsote vseh hranil, popolnoma raztopljenih v napitku in ne eksplicitno samo sladkorja.

Title:Analysis of the measurement uncertainty of a digital refractometer in measuring the sugar content of homemade beverages
Abstract:
The Refracto 30GS digital refractometer, manufactured by Mettler Toledo, is used to measure the sugar content of liquids. In the diploma thesis, we calculated the device’s standard measurement uncertainty of type A and type B, and eventually defined the expanded measurement uncertainty. We have found out that measuring sugar content in home-made beverages is not accurate because they are made out of several different ingredients. The refractometer accurately measures water-based beverages and dissolved sugar. If other nutrients are dissolved in the beverage then the refractometer shows the sum of all the nutrients totally dissolved in the beverage and not only the sugar.
