Leadership development system plays an important role in every company as it is strongly related to the company's success and strategic growth. Staff development is also part of the strategic pillar of the company x studied in my thesis. The aim of the master's thesis was to use the professional literature, primary research and secondary analysis of sources to verify the hypotheses set out and to propose to the studied company x to establish a system of leadership development that is not yet established in the company. In the theoretical part, on the basis of professional literature, I have defined the basic concepts in relation to leadership, leadership styles and leadership development. The empirical part consists of a primary survey in the form of an online survey with a group of leaders (n = 31) in the company x, and a secondary analysis of the results of a recent employee satisfaction and engagement survey (n = 975). The results of the research showed that the leaders in the company see an opportunity for their development as leaders, but miss the structured system of leadership development. Nevertheless, there are many development activities in the company x that contribute positively to the level of satisfaction of the leaders, which is above the average level of employees' satisfaction in the company.
