The thesis presents planning and developing of a web and mobile application for the voluntary fire departments in Slovenia. The initial purpose of the application is managing availability of its members, but after successful implementation of this part, the idea expanded into a complete portal for managing the fire department. Some of the most important functionalities are managing availability of firefighters, inventory of equipment and vehicles, and mobile phone pager. System is designed as SAAS, so it can be accessed from anywhere. In development, the PHP with framework Laravel and MySQL database is used. Currently, the solution is successfully implemented in a voluntary fire department in Cerkno. The result of this thesis will be offered as a service to all voluntary fire departments in Slovenia.
