Abstract

Title:Selected implications of workplace health promotion activities
Abstract:
Employee well-being and concern for their health are receiving increasing attention from companies. Employees spend a large part of the day at work and are consequently exposed to mainly sedentary or standing work for longer periods of time. This can lead to health problems that have an impact on the work of employees. Therefore, companies with various forms of workplace health promotion activities want to make employees pay attention to their health and a healthy lifestyle. Many studies have shown that workplace health promotion activities can contribute to better general health of employees, which is reflected in less absence from work due to illness, better productivity, greater motivation to work, greater job satisfaction and, last but not least, better company reputation and commitment to the company. The purpose of the master's thesis is therefore to examine the impact of workplace health promotion activities on productivity assessment, job satisfaction and commitment. The first part of the master's thesis includes an explanation of basic concepts and a review of the literature, followed by an empirical part. The latter is based on a quantitative survey in which only productivity assessment was found to be the only one directly affected by workplace health promotion activities.
