Abstract
Namen diplomskega dela je bil predstaviti reciklažo odpadnih bakrenih žic, ter postopkov, ki so za to potrebni. Recikliral sem štiri različne vrste bakrenih kablov, s trdo, pleteno, polakirano in izolirano bakreno žico. S postopki odstranjevanja izolacije inkemično analizo po pretaljevanju posameznih vzorcev sem pridobil podatke in spoznanja o koncentraciji bakra v surovinah in postopkih ločevanja PVC izolacije. Na podlagi termične analize ohlajanja sem ugotovil, da je vpliv ostalih kovinskih materialov preiskovanih vzorcih zanemarljiv. Prisotnost PVC izolacije na pretaljevani žici pa nam bistveno zmanjša količino dobljene bakrove taline. Kemična analiza je pokazala najvišjo koncentracijo bakra in tako najprimernejšo, trdo obliko bakrene žice za pretaljevanje. Taljenje kablov z izolacijo nam zmanjša dobitek kovine, ker se popveča delež žlindre v kateri se nahajajo tudi kapljice kovinskega bakra. Problem predstavlja tudi onesnaženje okolja z nenadzorovanim odgorevanjem polimernih komponent izolacije bakrenih žic, zato je razvoj naprav za odstranjevanje izolacije še toliko bolj potreben. Pri taljenju bakrenih kablov brez izolacije tako dobimo najvišji kakovostni razred bakra, brezonesnaženja okolja.

Title:Copper cable recycling analysis
Abstract:
The purpose of diploma is to introduce the recycling processes of waste copper cables, as well as the procedures required. Four different forms of copper cables were recycled, with hard, braided, lacquered and insulated copper wire. Through the removal of insulation and chemical analysis after melting of individual samples, data and insightson the concentration of copper in the raw materials and after processes of separation of PVC insulation were obtained. Based on the cooling curves, I found that the influence of other metallic materials of the examined samples was almost negligible. The presence of PVC insulation on the melted wire significantly reduces the amount of copper melt obtained. Chemical analysis showed the highest concentration of copper and thus the most suitable, solid form of copper wire for melting. Melting cables with insulation reduces the efficiency of metal because the fraction of slag in which are also presented drops of metallic copper increases. Environmental pollution is also a problem with the uncontrolled combustion of polymer components of copper wire insulation, which makes the development of insulation removal devices all the more necessary. In this way, melting copper cables without insulation results in the highest quality copper grade without environmental pollution.
