The main purpose of the master's thesis was to redesign the Andi, d. o. o., Žiri company website. The existing website no longer meets the purpose and goals of the company. When building the existing website, they placed the greatest emphasis on content and optimization; however, users were not involved in the design planning process. Website design is a major factor in poor user experience. It has an effect on the loss of potential customers who search for print services online.
We have involved users in all stages of the planning process when redesigning the website. Firstly, we included them in a market analysis as we asked them to evaluate their satisfaction with using the websites of competing printing houses. We continued with a survey and in-depth interviews. Based on the interviews and segmentation, we determined personas that helped us in the following planning steps: creating a user journey map and information architecture, defining wireframes and website design. Users were again actively involved when testing the layout of elements in wireframes. After designing the visual image, the website was analyzed according to predefined criteria. We also tested the usability of the website through certain tasks.
The result of the master's thesis is a newly designed website with improved user experience. On the new website, users can find important information faster, it provides additional features that enhance the user experience, and its design is more pleasant and modern than the design of the existing website.
