The master's thesis deals with the German newspapers in Slovenia, more specifically, the newspaper Marburger Zeitung, printed in Maribor. During its many years of publication (1862–1945), it had quite a few supplements. The master's thesis presents one of them, an illustrated entertainment supplement, printed in Berlin, published from 1898 to 1900 and titled Sonntagsblatt. Illustrirte Unterhaltungsbeilage zur „Marburger Zeitung“. The theoretical part presents the historical events in Slovenia at the end of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century, placing the newspaper in a time and place, followed by a brief description of the newspaper. The empirical part is dedicated to a description and to an in-depth analysis of the supplement containing an analysis of literary works, pictorial material and other entertainment sections.
